Golf Practice Exercises to Improve Your Game

Golf Practice Exercises to Improve Your Game

Practice, practice, practice. This is the key to be a good golfer. Of course, having a good set of golf clubs will push the boundaries a little, and having a good swing is definitely will enhance your score, But all of this will make a good golfer of you if you're not practicing, and with specific exercises and techniques that we will discuss in this article.

How to Make your shot aligned

The correct way to do this is to assess the goal at the back of the ball. Doing so will give you the correct view of the hole. You should also place the club's face at the back of the ball so that it is directly aligned with the goal. Do this before taking your stand.

You can align your upper torso parallel to the target, or you can move your lower body so that it is to the left of the goal line. The choice is up to you, but the only thing you shouldn't do is align your body directly with the target because that won't help you swing.

How to Select the Right Club

Is using long clubs for long shots and the opposite for the short ones is this hard? No, and unfortunately, it’s not enough in measuring things in golf!

Is using long clubs for long shots and the opposite for the short ones is this hard? No, and unfortunately, it’s not enough in measuring things in golf! There are many other things you have to consider! Like, the wind, the shot tendency, and what lies around the targeted hole. The kind of approach shot you’re going for, this also you have to think about. How you can achieve this? By learning your natural tendencies and how to select the right club for the right shot.

A common mistake most golf players do is changing their stance with club changing! Why? it's not a good practice to do so, just you can change your body angle, the upper part of your body, maybe your width of stance, but not the whall body with the feet, but all in all you have to keep the basic standing without change.

Secure Your Grip

Always use your gloved hand to carry the club, and therefore the position should be between your palm and therefore the first finger. Next, use your glove-free hand to roll the handle. Your index and thumb fingers should seem like the letter V, and that they should point to your right shoulder or the side of your chest.

How to Benefit from the Wind

New golfers hate playing in windy conditions, but you'll be using that to your advantage. Do not try to hit a shot downwind. Instead, make adjustments so you get a better chance of doing well. If the wind is blowing from right to left, try to plot the tee where the wind can take it in the right direction.

One more thing: simply because the wind is blowing doesn't mean you have to swing more forcefully. You want to make adjustments to the swing, not just try to fight the wind.

Don't forget - you have to complete the shot, by that we mean letting the sand carry the ball and hit it down and behind. Instead of digging your wedge into the sand, do a full swing for greater balance. Do these things to become a greater golf player.
